Meanwhile in Israel

I don’t know what noises you’ve heard from Iran, but in the last 24hrs the talk has ratcheted up. This is why I posted my links. Those boats will go down if the Iranians decide to launch their anti ship missiles. There will be at least two subs guarding those carriers, what’s the obvious reply considering America? When I can find the appropriate quotes, I will post.

In other related news, I have to post this

According to expert Military Analyst; Scott Ritter, the IDF, who are very experienced at breaking teenagers arms, are getting HAMMERED by Hamas & Hezbollah.

Make if this what you will. A report was released by the septics in the last week, concerning military numbers. The key takeaway was moving from a professional army (apparently those days are over) and shifting to conscription (Ukrainian style?). Considering that the IDF is mostly conscription, am I the only one who thinks western military power will will become weaker stilll due to having folks who really don’t want to be there? Vietnam and Ukraine have seen officer fragging also…

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani: Take the warnings issued by the Iranian Foreign Minister very seriously.

Iranian Foreign Minister: If we do not defend Gaza today, in the future we will be forced to deal with the phosphorus bombs in our hospitals used by the Zionist regime.

Israel will not stop until it destroys the military and administrative potential of Hamas, Benjamin Netanyahu said in a conversation with President Vladimir Putin.

A telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Egypt Sergey Lavrov and Sameh Shoukry. The central topic of the conversation was the sharp deterioration of the situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. The heads of foreign affairs departments expressed serious concern about the current situation and pointed out the unacceptability of attacks on civilian infrastructure. The need for an early ceasefire and the opening of corridors in order to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the affected areas of the Palestinian enclave and the exit of civilians was also emphasized.Lavrov and Shukri especially noted that the resolution of the conflict should be carried out on an international legal basis, in accordance with UN resolutions.

A couple of snippets from longer, likely significant pieces that deserve more attention than I have felt able to give them.

  1. Efrat Fenigson, an Israeli journalist who served with the IDF on the border with Gaza 25 years ago also challenges the narrative being constructed around this event.
In this 100 minute long conversation with Dark Horse podcast host, Bret Weinstein, Fenigson explains her issues with the story the public is being told. Big points:

It is absurd that an attack of this magnitude could have been planned and executed without IDF detection.

Hamas breached the border with Israel in fifteen different places. Surely one of the incursions would have triggered an immediate and automatic response.

Border patrols say that they attempted to report the attack up the chain of command but their calls were not answered.

Israeli fighter pilots tweeted that they had engaged Hamas fighters yet people on the ground saw no evidence of this anywhere in the skies.

For months a former Israeli general had been warning the government that defensive forces at the border were inadequate. His warnings went unheeded and he was shadow-banned by Israeli media.

If their intention was to leverage the release of Hamas prisoners, it would make far more sense to capture Israeli citizens, not kill them too. What was the real intent of such acts if not to instigate a devastating response from Israel?

(Remember Bret Weisntein? Dark Horse Podcast, featured here early in the covid-19 vaccine development discussions. This one was with Robert Malone and Steve Kirsch.)

According to Fenigson, a cat moving around the wall triggers security forces. Ergo it’s not credible that this was a big surprise.
Equally you would also wonder how Hamas would be leaping/flying over the wall in large numbers if it would normally mean their quick immolation before managing to inflict much damage. So it’s hard not to consider there has to have been a degree of cooperation between Hamas and Israel.

  1. From GlobalResearch.

The Hamas Partnership is confirmed by Netanyahu

“The Cat is Out of the Bag”

“Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas,” he [Netanyahu] told a meeting of his Likud party’s Knesset members in March 2019. “This is part of our strategy – to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.” (Haaretz, October 9, 2023, emphasis added)

Does this statement not suggest that Netanyahu and his military-intelligence apparatus are responsible for the killings of innocent Israeli civilians?

“Support” and “Money” for Hamas.

“Transferring Money to Hamas” on behalf of Netanyahu is confirmed by a Times of Israel October 8, 2023 Report:

“Hamas was treated as a partner to the detriment of the Palestinian Authority to prevent Abbas from moving towards creating a Palestinian State. Hamas was promoted from a terrorist group to an organization with which Israel conducted negotiations through Egypt, and which was allowed to receive suitcases containing millions of dollars from Qatar through the Gaza crossings.” (emphasis added)

Words of leaders (when they are talking to each other, and not merely lying as usual to the public) are worth scrutinizing.

“This is part of our strategy – to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.”

Israel’s hardliners, and the US, have always been alarmed by the possibility of the two-state solution. They like it as it is, though for different reasons

KE: “I’m sure he meant Iranian, a mere slip of the tongue . . .”

In first with the irony :slightly_smiling_face:

Ironically, according to Scott Ritter, Hamas’ has acquired U.S. weapons in Ukraine.

Good points ED

I seem to remember discussions going way back at how the Israelis built Hamas as a way to break the PLO. It was a combination of the good old divide-and-rule, coupled with the US tactic of building “islamist” rebels to try and do their bidding - al-quaeda in Gaza. This way then have a puppet govt in the West Bank, a fully infiltrated “islamist” terror org in Gaza, and the socialist leaning PLO is destroyed.

Worked for a long time.

Scott Ritter: Israel Is Reaping The Whirlwind | MOATS with George Galloway Ep 280

10th October

22 minutes:

Some good points. Not sure if you mentioned the lack of any attacks of Israeli airfields?

Here’s the thing, it doesn’t matter if it was a false flag. If it was, it’s been an absolute failure. The Israelis aren’t coming back from this. Their military has been shown to be a fraud. Their propaganda is being exposed as lies almost as fast as they push it out. Globally, they’ve been called out.

If this was a false flag, I hope the perps are feeling mighty queasy.

I didn’t, but I hadn’t read everything. Its a point though. Maybe that would be a bridge too far for paragliders looking to strike a serious blow before their imminent immolation.

I think the angle of the incompetent military is hard to believe, as it seems a ridiculously wild gamble for Hamas fighters to bet their lives on without some good info from the inside - otherwise, most of the time they’d just be killed without inflicting any damage. But given the risk of escalation, Israel must have had an aim in mind.

The propaganda might be being exposed but it’s being repeated incessantly by TPTB.
“Israel has an abolute right to defend itself”.

When it’s added “They must stay within International law”, while proposing to wipe out thousands of civilians, it means - in logical terms - exactly the same as

“Viewers are IDIOTS”.

Yet many who are not idiots do accept it. Two things to ‘believe before breakfast’, one of which is necessarily false. I’m sure you can get to six quite easily! RIP truth

It wasn’t just incompetent behaviour, there was a very large helping of arrogance too. For a start, they relied far too heavily on technology. Sure, they knew when a cat was on the border, but a cat isn’t aware of tech surveillance. After the last embarrassment 50 years ago, the Israelis appointed an intelligence officer known as doubting Thomas. The job was to dream up reasons why the intel was suspect. In the last ten years or so, they’ve gone and been replaced by the CIA at the hip. Quietest it’s been for 20 years Americans…Throw in a big holiday and the misplaced confidence that you’ll never be attacked in a manner we’ve seen for the last two weeks.

Palestinian behaviour and attitude says they feel this was it. Absolutely nothing to lose.

Ther most dangerous creation of any society is a man who has nothing to lose.
James Baldwin.

As shown last night with the hospital, they don’t care about the rules. A fact that was reinforced as they hit the site again, targeting rescuers. Double tap airstrikes are illegal.

What really makes me angry is all the twats that are trotted out on the media talking about ‘international law’. FFS the Israeli’s have been not only ignoring but flouting their breaches of it for decades. Even Aljazeera refers to things like this as ‘might constitute war crimes’.

I can deal with anything except stupid. Call war crimes war crimes, call crimes committed in breach of the Geneva Convention war crimes.

Apologies for the rant.

The optics are sometimes what counts. Signalling ‘backing’ with aircraft carriers bristling with rockets just, somehow, looks different to a flotilla of ships carrying aid, especially if they sail under a Moslem flag.

I have some hope that the shockingly clumsy and inhumane messages that NATO countries are still putting out there will seal their doom. By this I mean their utter loss of credibility not kinetic destruction. I added MediaLens back to my bookmarks today (not that I’d forgotten the web address of course) as, after a long stint of banal virtue signalling they are finally back into high gear. No links below though as I haven’t caught up on their longer pieces yet, just some very spot-on tweets.

Very restrained I’d say @Pat, I think Bibi has heard the trapdoor being oiled, but he will doubtless slink off into retirement, relatively unharmed. Readers can safely infer that I wish for the opposite but am trying hard to practise Right Speech. Never have found that one easy

Just listened to The Last American Vagabond which I rarely do. He ends with translations from some Israeli media with Israeli’s not pulling their punches on good ‘ol Benji. Sadly, like you said and I’m guessing like Zelensky, et al, millionaire’s villa retirement awaits.

I was surprised initially with some of the things I’d heard were coming from the bbc - though I hasten to add that I resolutely do not look at any of their output. Nevertheless, it’s apparent that they are reporting quite differently and it was puzzling - then it dawned - I reckon the bbc is taking this unusual tack because those that give us media understand that multitudes have abandoned the bbc in favour of other sources such as Talk TV/Radio, and GB News (which just happened at appear at the right time…ahem) - - now that those outlets are furiously taking up the cudgel on behalf of Israel, it gives the bbc a bit more freedom to appeal its ‘left wing’ listenership.

A small point true, but just wanted to say that I see no distinction between any of those outlets - media is media is media - all bases are covered and divisiveness reigns.

Try this Pat - it’s completely unbearable! Kay Burley with the Israeli Ambassador to the UK. There’s no humanitarian crisis in Gaza, it’s time for war, beheaded babies, we’re going to kill them all, Dresden was the only way and loads more smash hits from Tzipi Psychopants here:

Cheers, Rich - though I don’t think I could stomach it. Just wanted to say, what’s wrong with these Tzipis? Recall Tzipi Livni during Operation Cast Lead boasting about how “Israel demonstrated real hooliganism during the course of the recent operation, which I demanded.” Just demented!

Hi Si that was a group of lawyers on the ‘legal’ nit pick to keep the BBC in line. They didn’t call Hamas terrorists like, they said, they were obliged to because the law had so designated them.
I don’t follow much live other than what I hear on the radio; I think the BBC nurtures an image of ‘infuriating impartiality’ which allows it to attract useful complaints of being ‘left wing’ from the right to play against the left, and it could be that’s what you see some of the time. Sometimes those reporting live from a scene of massacre can’t help express their feeling to an extent, I saw the same thing in 2006 when BBC staff watched Israeli planes bomb Lebanese civilians fleeing their own order to evacuate and couldn’t help themselves as they were describing the action, saying ‘left wing’ things like, This seems a bit much :astonished:. It gets ‘editorialised’ out of them when they get home. After the conflict was over Israeli intelligence bragged about controlling the western media narrative.
Just guessing, mind.

Even more striking is the supine performance of the interviewer.
Hotovel is allowed to act out a position of tearful mourning for 10 minutes while calling explicitly for measures that mean death on a much bigger scale for revenge, on top of the significant revenge that has been exacted already. And killing far more children too, obviously.
Essentially “We’ve got to be allowed to kill much more Palestinian children, and blame Hamas. And they’re Nazis anyway.”
Hate Speech, anybody?
You could say she’s emotional but she’s a government minister inciting death on a major TV channel who sacks people for incorrect opinions. Sky are also responsible.
