Looks to me like another Dem exit strategy: project mature appreciation of rivalry without enmity, after years of sarcasm and threats, then pounce on Trump for anything that “undermines” that. Despite the very likely continuity of aggressive competition (at least).
What is the second bullet point actually saying? I didn’t understand the part about the US always saying and doing the same thing. The same as what? The same as it has these past many years (aggression)? The same as China?
