Wee Ginger Dug gives pungent summary of La Truss in Scottish Tories' hustings

I’d become a bit jaded about Paul Kavanagh’s output lately, mainly because of his h,l&s swallowing of the covid con, aggressively enforced on his blog’s btl-comments, and because he’s so committed to Scottish independence (good!) that he thinks Nicola Sturgeon is not to be criticised (not so good), even though she doesn’t seem to be pushing very noticeably to forward the cause in real terms (as Craig Murray notes so acerbically on his pro-indy blog).

But all is forgiven because of this piece of Paul’s on Truss and Sunak in Scotland, speaking to the endangered minority of unionist Tories there on the party’s scheme to impose an unelected Prime Minister on the entire British electorate. You know: Paedominster-style ‘democracy’.

Paul has this to say about herring-face:

“She comes across as a low rent Artificial Intelligence version of Margaret Thatcher, only without the intelligence part, strangely robotic and awkward, bereft of empathy or emotional intelligence.”

(Slightly off comment, because I don’t think that Thatcher herself ever demonstrated anything more than mediocre intelligence; but still…) Paul’s overall assessment, with which I agree, is that the shooing-in of La Truss into Downing Street will turn out to be a gift to the independence movement, simply because she’s such a hopelessly incompetent right-wing-tory dork, completely out of touch with what’s really happening in the de-unipoling world and how to respond effectively, and thus bound to make a shambles of things in this time of serious crisis: a hash that will make even Bozo’s premiership look tolerable by comparison; and that shambles, of course, will include badly mishandling the mood of the Scots, to the point that the majority in favour of independence will grow markedly (really good! ):

“play-doh Thatcher” was another good one.
