Unforseen circumstances with Gaza flotilla

Seems the navy is totally preoccupied with the flotilla. This has given fishermen the chance to catch without incident.

The Lord is making them fishers of men

442 arrested and counting in London at Pro-Palestine demonstration. All for peacefully holding up a sign.

This comment by a Jewish leader took my breath away:

"Ahead of the demonstrations, the Community Security Trust (CST) charity - which provides security for the Jewish community - told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, the protests were “phenomenally tone deaf”.

Dave Rich said: "For so many people who claim to care about human rights and care about freedoms, to be taking police resources away from protecting the rights and freedoms of Jewish people to live their lives and go to synagogue in safety, all to support a proscribed terrorist organisation, which is not the same thing as supporting the Palestinians.

“The two are not the same. And I think it’s remarkably self absorbed and insensitive to say the least.” "

Tens or hundreds of thousands of Palestinian deaths do not count as much as one Jewish death - well we knew that already.
But the idea that an anti-genocide protest takes police away from “protecting the Jewish community”, and is therefore “self-absorbed”, is just mind-boggling. Who needs drugs…

Except that the police made a similar point - and so did Sir Kid Starver, in the news report.
He said “respect the grief of British Jews”

It seems the lives of Palestinians are worth as much as so many dead flies; where even the tenuous grief of most of the Jewish community - how many ‘British Jews’ would have known the murdered man - dwarfs the importance of seemingly endless numbers of murdered Palestinians, killed in any which way the IDF chooses.

Greta Thunberg is being abused by Israelis.

BREAKING: Israeli authorities have beaten Greta Thunberg, made her kiss Zionist flag

Not mentioned in the UK mainstream as far as I can tell.
Search for ‘Greta’ in BBC.co.uk you get a 2008 story about a football team called Gretna.

Just a couple of years ago every time she spoke on climate change it made BBC headlines

They are also rigging their (supposed flagship) Question Time audiences.

Liked this Canary quote
Funding the BBC is at this point little better than putting a bullet in an IGF rifle – cancel your license and tell them Palestine sent you.

The beating accusation made in the Canary is linked to a Guardian story in which the allegation is expressly made by another flotilla member, Turkish activist ErsinÇelik.

While the Guardian duly quoted ErsinÇelik further down the article, it’s headline does not mention the accusation of beating or even abuse.

Israel accused of detaining Greta Thunberg in infested cell and making her hold flags

Flags! Israeli flags you mean. The headline is a careful, pathetic re-arrangement of the known facts of the accusations - of beating and being made to KISS the Israeli flag.

Support independent journalism!

I heard Sneer Kid Starver (nice monicker) talking about the death on the most holy of Jewish days. I had best not express my true feelings about Starver for fear of being banned, arrested for hate speech and put on every USukisnato no fly list. What I can say is even my wife was horrified at the language I hurled at the TV.

More details of the treatment of Greta Thunberg.
Revealed in an interview with a Swedish magazine.

Thunberg has been very low key about her treatment, consistently saying it’s not about her or even the flotilla, but about the Palestinians, whose treatment is immeasurably worse.
But she did answer questions.

In fact the flotilla members seem to have received treatment amounting to torture.

One thing shines through - the inhumanity of her captors; this was ordered by minister Itamar Ben-Gvir according to his own boasts.

Another is the disdain of the Swedish Embassy staff who deliberately downplayed the treatment, often describing it as much less alarming that what the IDF had already admitted to, and boasted about.

We’ll need to wait for other accounts to judge the attitude of other countries’ embassies.

Greta Thunberg: “They kicked me every time the flag touched my face”

Israel intercepts Gaza flotilla and detains activists including Greta Thunberg

The only other mention I could find in the BBC’s search facility was when Israel deported the flotilla members.
There seems to have been no attempt by the BBC to interview them, or publicize their treatment.

Link: Israel deports Greta Thunberg and 170 other Gaza flotilla activists - BBC News

The first BBC link shows the BBC going out of its way to deflect concerns by highlighting the staged Israeli propaganda, which misrepresents the IDF solidiers:

"Israel’s Foreign Ministry posted footage from the interception showing Thunberg sitting on the deck of a boat, being handed water and a jacket by a member of the Israeli military. Detained activists are being taken to the port of Ashdod, Israel said.

“Greta and her friends are safe and healthy,” the Israeli government said. "

The truth of the matter is that after the BBC finsihed watching the staged propaganda on Israeli TV, activists were denied water for long periods of time; beaten, taunted and humiliated by soldiers showing them water bottles and then throwing them into the trash.

Safe and healthy? What an interesting guarantee to make regarding a large group of people. Of course, some were far from healthy already.

The contribution of the caring, moral IDF to keeping them healthy?
From the Swedish interview:

“– It was mockery, rough handling, and everything was filmed. Everything they do is extremely violent. People’s medications were thrown into the trash can in front of their eyes. Heart medication, cancer medication, insulin.”

The next take home message, mentioned in the article, is that Israel doesn’t want a good press from this event, it wants to deter others.

But nobody told the servile BBC that :grimacing:

On the subject of the BBC, I asked Kimi AI how much time the BBC TV devoted to Palestinian returned ‘prisoners’ and Israeli returned ‘hostages’. The answer, wait for it, was 5-7 minutes for the Palestinians. For the Israeli’s, it was 5-7 minutes. I still have that bridge over the Thames on special offer.
