A really excellent analysis imo.

Jeez @CJ1 . Reading that before breakfast was pretty upsetting.
There are two things that stand out for me. First, the Russians care about as much about human rights as the rest of the cabal.
Second, this just reconfirms (for me anyway), how the whole UN is just an illegitimate tool for the global elite. IMHO, itâs no longer good enough saying, âwell, itâs the best weâve got âŚâ because it has become (and maybe it always was) a tool of repression by the GICâs.
But thanks for posting.
Late edit
Having just listened to Larry Johnson and Col. Larry Wilkerson, Wilkerson said the Russian and Chinese abstention was not because they were undecided on the resolution, but because they were watching the self-destruction of the US empire and this resolution would just continue that self-destruction (my paraphrase). Iâll reserve judgement.
Hi @PatB ,
If you are not able act to protect Palestinians from further genocide by this new colonialism - particularly in view of the obvious illegality of the UNSC resolution acting ultra vires which would provide both China and Russia with a âtechnicalâ excuse for a veto - then itâs time to reassess both these nations. Palestinians cannot wait for the fall of the empire which would not be hastened by this resolution given the lack of state opposition to it (irrespective of popular opposition), imo.
cheers
US, Russia, China, all in it together, along with EU, UK, âBRICSâ, yes, even âIsraelâ and everywhere bloody else. âAlwaysâ have been, at least since all fell under the sway of the big money/globalist eugenicist psychopaths (John Magafuli being one of the last holdouts!). Bloodletting not an issue for such as these, the more the merrier, hence the continuation (coming escalation to the rest of Europe?) of the âUkraine warâ sine die. Palestine just a little local sideshow, move along now. (Or, more like, watch in appalled fascination the Jewish puppetsâ forever genocide project advancing uncontested by all.)
I could get going on this one. Hold me back!
Amnesty says Israel continues actions in Gaza that amount to genocide despite the ceasefire, urging global focus on worsening humanitarian conditions.
Amnesty International on Thursday claimed Israel was âstill committing genocideâ against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire agreed last month.
âThe ceasefire risks creating a dangerous illusion that life in Gaza is returning to normal,â said Amnesty chief Agnes Callamard.
âBut while Israeli authorities and forces have reduced the scale of their attacks and allowed limited amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza, the world must not be fooled. Israelâs genocide is not over.â
Contacted by AFP, the Israeli foreign ministry did not respond to the allegations by early evening.
When faced with such allegations previously, the ministry has vehemently rejected them as âentirely falseâ, âfabricatedâ, and âbased on liesâ.
The fragile, US-brokered truce between Israel and Hamas came into effect on 10 October, after two years of war.
The 1948 UN Genocide Convention defines genocide as any of five âacts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial or religious groupâ.
In December 2024, human rights group Amnesty concluded that Israel was committing genocide in Gaza via three of those acts, including deliberately inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction.
In an update on Thursday, Amnesty said: "Israel continues to severely restrict the entry of supplies and the restoration of services essential for the survival of the civilian population.
âDespite a reduction in scale of attacks, and some limited improvements, there has been no meaningful change in the conditions Israel is inflicting on Palestinians in Gaza and no evidence to indicate that Israelâs intent has changed.â

Following Amnestyâs findings in December, Israelâs foreign ministry called the London-based group a âdeplorable and fanatical organisationâ.
âIsrael is defending itself⌠acting fully in accordance with international law,â it said.
âPattern of conductâ
Callamard said: âIsraelâs pattern of conduct in Gaza, including the deliberate, unlawful denial of lifesaving aid to Palestinians, many of whom are injured, malnourished and at risk of serious disease, continues to threaten their survival.â
In September 2025, the independent international Commission of Inquiry set up by the United Nations concluded that âgenocide is occurring in Gazaâ, something Israel vehemently denied.
The probe concluded that Israeli authorities and forces had, since October 2023, committed âfour of the five genocidal actsâ listed in the 1948 Genocide Convention.
These five acts include killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births and forcibly transferring children out of the group.
The International Court of Justice last year ordered Israel âto prevent and punish the direct and public incitement to commit genocideâ in Gaza.
Israelâs military assault on Gaza has killed at least 69,799 people, according to figures from the territoryâs health ministry that the UN considers reliable.
The ministry says that since the ceasefire came into effect, 352 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire.
