Just dump Twatter, G. No-one needs such shite. Kick the habit. (Not likely to be around forever anyway. Get used to withdrawal early, and avoid the rush!)

It really helps in my isolated position Rhis and I use it to platform my blog and will also be doing so for my DPAC/Morning Star article, I’ve been working hard on it for years (nearly 3,000 followers now),. It keeps me connected to campaign organisations, I find it essential. Facebook is another thing…I’m not so keen but I use it to access people/organisations/campaigns which use the platform… censoring individuals just ain’t on mate!!!

Try an alternative where they don’t censor. Let your followers know before dumping Twatter, then those who are worth keeping will migrate with you. The only way with this sort of impudent censorship is to cut the link and fire them into outer darkness. Eventually we can make them pay for their damned presumption by hitting them where it hurts such schmucks most: by buggering their illicit businesses.

Do you know of any similar alternative platforms?

Good on you for trying my friend. I have to say the social media tech censors are certainly having a field day with all this… AFAIK the is no good alternative to Twitter for the kind of thing it does…

When we started this site we had a plan to gradually add a more “social” component, perhaps through blog posts or similar.

Maybe we could think of ways to expand what we do here?

Cheers

Yeah…Tweeting on Sir Lenny Henry today… like Starmer you have to be joking!

#BillGates is able to force those institutions down a path where they can only use his patented intellectual property” is what I quoted (yes the article was linked -from 5Filters-, to Mercola ), I don’t really see how this violates any #Covid19 strictures but as you can receive censure for claiming Covid doesn’t exist or claiming that it is a deliberately released bio-weapon you can obviously now receive it for questioning the motives/competence of the vaccine producers and/or politicians

“By their works…” folks …this stinks …I mean really!!!

Does anyone know what Google’s rules ARE?

I use “Blogger” which is their platform…I have no idea what their guidelines are and a Google search turns up nothing useful or illuminating! "I might say something I shouldn’t, probably often and in public! Tara (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

I agree, Twitter does still have some use if you mute/block the idiots. I’m aghast to see this but suspect it’s not this board that has attracted attention but the link within the post. All a bot has to do is pick out the href attribute with the damned address.

Which reminds me, re. the thread posted recently that originated from Health Impact News.

Drilling down fairly quickly I arrived at a fact check (ha!) site newsguard iirc which described the source as being a “vaccination disinformation superspreader”.

Which struck me as a marvelous term to appropriate and rearticulate.

For example “vaccination disinformation superspreader, and murderous lying bastard, Tony Blair”. VDS (etc)

They don’t like it up 'em.

I feel you. So far I’ve only served a short term ban, a week maybe, have forgotten. This was for upsetting some lefty by abusing some shibboleth of his. I really don’t recall but think the name was Serafinowix (sp?).

That might be an Asterix character though.

I shall try harder to be annoying

I don’t want to loose my Blogger privileges either…but such controversy is my bread and butter…never before in my lifetime have we been subject to such censorship… I should just carry on taking my daily opioid dose and float quietly off down the lazy river to the white flecked, storm ridden and “boiling” ocean!!!

And yet, paid Amazon stooges can post proven lies up and down Twitter without a mention of any sort, let alone a sanction.

Twitter should change it’s name to the Ministry of Truth (soundbite team).

Ministry of Truth is apt, but maybe also a misnomer. In the U$A most particularly, where these Evil Corps originate, the State wants to exercise control by proxy: all the power to define which views are acceptable and which not, but none of the direct responsibility for doing it. That is the job of the ‘platforms’.

In a Corporatist world these distinctions are thoroughly disingenuous but it does allow the PTB to wring their hands and protest “…if only we didn’t have to do these distasteful things. Zuckerberg can sort it out.”

The platforms have to somehow preserve their “let’s you and him fight” business model: pocketing some change every time a squabble attracts attention for long enough to reap clicks. (While letting a few ritualised banishments push the deplorable types away to Gab and whatever.)
