Trump wants US to own Gaza. Palestinians have to leave

I don’t have words for this… Let’s see if he’s serious about it

OMG I didn’t even know we had a Caesar.
Odd to think there wouldn’t be an outcry.
Maybe there is a wider plan to do it by stealth, which only the US population would find acceptable.
This was the plan Nutty Yahoo took to the US (to Biden) almost a year back isn’t it.
Ie it is the US plan as well. The US will clean it up the mess, defuse the bombs - ie the mess they made with their bombs - and retain control of what will become their interests.
Even the other warmongers are pointing out International Law (as if it’s not already been breached by the genocide).
It’s as if Trump’s lost his marbles - the front runner explanation I guess.

An article on TLN posted by Keith264 suggests that assassination of Trump would give the US a perfect excuse to attack Iran.
Hmm. Could be this new Trump plan could function as Iran’s supposed excuse to light the blue touchpaper on behalf of their enemies. They aren’t that dumb, but we are talking about the cartoon politics of war, where things just have to be vaguely believable.
The missing piece in this speculative scenario is who is working Trump’s brain cells.

I really don’t pretend to understand Trump’s thinking. However, I have been fomenting an hypothesis which seems, perhaps, to explain some of his actions. It’s based on some very simple markers, all of which are just my opinion.

a) Trump is deep in hock to his Zionist donors. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case long before his runs for president.
b) He must really hate many of the Republican party, especially those who wanted any almost any other Republican as a presidential hopeful.
c) After Russiagate, and all the other anti-Trump campaigns and reversal of orders orchestrated by the three letter agencies actions during his first term, I’m fairly sure he has some scores to settle.

For each of his outrageous or unexpected actions, see if any of the three items above explain it. Seems to me that MAGA is just another politicians sound bite and everything else is payback for one of the three above. There seems to me to be no ethics, no humanity, and no regards for anything except his own ego and payback against one of the three above.

‘Trump’ hasn’t decided anything, like Biden before him. The one sure thing ‘he’ has predicted is that many more Palestinians will die in the resumed genocide. I’m predicting that as well, its not rocket science [bad taste irony alert].

Anyone noticed the stepping up of the ‘Gazifying’ of Jenin, Tulkarem, Nablus and the daily pogroms destroying villages in the West Bank? No, but ooh, look what Trump’s saying about Gaza!!

To be fair, Trump has already said that he recognises Israel’s claim on the West Bank, and is now backing a bill to rename it Judea and Samaria.

He also inadvertantly let slip (sort of) that he thinks the number of dead in Gaza might be half a million.

The horror show just gets worse

A different take on this while thing by Dr Gilbert Doctorow. Really hoping he’s into something and not just being a wide eyed fanboy

The Judge solicited my opinion on the body language of Prime Minister Netanyahu at the joint press conference with Trump yesterday when the President set out his plans for an American take-over of Gaza and its redevelopment into the Riviera of the Middle East. Indeed, it was clear to me that this was the first that Netanyahu was hearing of this plan, and he was initially stunned and then accepting of it.

What was going on there? Trump was trapping Netanyahu into something that he could not say ‘no’ to, into something that would make it very, very difficult for him to resume his bombings and genocide in Gaza after the expiration of Phase One of the cease-fire agreement with Hamas.

Of course, there is not a chance of a snowball in hell that the expulsion of the Gazans and redevelopment of their homeland into a Riviera will ever take place. It is just a fiction that serves as an off ramp for Netanyahu, an off ramp that will lead to his imprisonment now that the war will essentially be over and his court trials for corruption will go into high gear.

Meanwhile, the Zionists in America are rejoicing and all others are dumbfounded, scratching their heads over what looks like an utterly stupid plan by Trump. Stupid like a fox, I say.

Some interesting points here. I think @PatB has nailed the most of it.

It’s worth keeping in mind that one of Trump’s mentors was Roy Cohn.
“My idea of real power is not people who hold office. They’re here today and gone tomorrow. Power means the ability to get things done. It stems from friendship in my case.”

It’s interesting watching him out for revenge though. Departments that never decline payments, aid money that’s going everywhere except where it should and Politico unable to pay its staff after the millions it was getting has been turned off.

On the fence with Nutty etc. Time will tell. But I will say it’s good to see things happening in America after 4 years of sleepy Joe.

And Greenland USA…hard to believe there’s a new “Renaming” phase of delusionality. Maybe the plan is to use the mock horror just to make plan B (ie A) easier. A two state where the Palestinians get the garbage dumps and Israel gets the water and the beaches. This scarem, fleecem tactic is within Trump’s compass, but he must be discussing these steps with an adult, or Elon even :grimacing:

Seems to me that you are saying something in support of my item a) above (Trump in deep hock to his Zio donors). During his initial term one of his first appointments was a rabid zionist Rham Emanuel, followed shortly by Jared Kushner. Either he is a man with deep principles or he is rewarding the Zio criminals.

It does seem a bit wide-eyed to me, especially as Netanyahu floated this plan himself last year.
But alll views are valid the moment.
I would expect nothing much is visible; the only thing I feel confident about is that manipulation of world or public opinion is a key part of the plan…

In the meantime the Palestinians continue to be screwed around and screwed over from practically every direction. Will they ever have peace, security, justice, freedom and autonomy?

Pretty sure he’s not a man of deep principles.

Hi @JackieL . I get that. When I said that, it was meant as irony but sorry I didn’t make the point clear.

Its beyond heartbreaking, @JackieL. I don’t understand how the world at the UN have not taken the step in the General Assembly, under the Uniting for Peace power that they have to impose economic sanctions on Israel? Where is the rest of the world? An embargo on that tiny country would change the game without the need for a shot being fired, and show the whole world uniting against genocide…

Spineless

Yes, odd isn’t it. ‘Ooh an’ it makes me wonder. . . (how does it affect you blokes?)’

If you really want to know …

I have trouble containing my anger every time I see or hear Trump. Even some of my well informed friends think he is OK, without looking into the smoke, or behind the mirrors.

If I turn on the TV to watch the rugby, and it’s tuned to Aljazeera, I can’t bear to watch, but feel duty bound to not close my eyes to it. No doubt the effect on my blood pressure will be harmful to my long term health.

I’ve watched the speech given by the US surgeon who was in Gaza, three times, and I still cry each time.

I watch Press TV and the Iranians are constantly talking the talk about support for the Palestinians, yet they do nothing, while the feudal rulers of Saudi, Quatar, the UAE, the West Bank, Egypt, and others just carry on with their self interests. Criminals the lot.

Finally, I have begun to withdraw from ‘friends’ because their lives are unaffected and it’s almost as if 40,000 or more murdered just don’t matter. How is it possible not to notice and be moved, regardless of which side of the political spectrum one is?

@AlanG I wish you hadn’t asked.

really well said @PatB - solidarity. I’m right there with you.

Sorry about that, Pat. I’m pretty obtuse sometimes.

Yes, it’s a hard lesson. The masks and gloves are completely off and the ugly reality of power in the world is on full display.
