Trump, Melania both test positive for Coronavirus

Might be serious for him, obesity and age against him…

This insignificant canard got me shouting at the radio this morning: “Can you get on with the actual news please! You’ve only got three minutes!” (It’s BBC Radio 3; the ‘news’ bollocks is mercifully short there! They still manage to lead most days, though, with some tosh about ‘The President’ or 'Congress; you know, in that foreign land on the far side of the Atlantic…) And anyway, what does “tested positive” actually mean any more? Anything substantive at all, with all the obvious shortcomings - deliberately ignored - of current alleged ‘tests’?

If you worry about Donald’s outcome because of his age, well, I’m older still, and covid was no big deal for me. It is true, though, that I’m not obese. But I too love chocolate cake!

Patrick Henningsen, speaking on UK Column news, analysed that this announcement coming now - when it could have been kept schtum, just like Biden’s alzheimic incompetence - is probably an electioneering political move by the Donald and his election handlers.

Interesting, though, that he’s said to be getting that also-ran treatment Remdesivir, rather than the best actually-effective drugs. Though who knows what he’s really getting…?

I’ve a new conspiracy theory. Someone gave “it” to Hope Hicks, timed beautifully to handicap Trump for this fortnight - though it mightn’t work out like that, if he recovers quickly. I’m not happy that he has already been given a plasma infusion, and now Remdesevir, which is only useful in the serious LRT infections and only reduces the time in hospital. He should have had HCQ and AZM immediately. This suggests to me that Trump really is a victim of the delinquents and criminals around him, from Fauci to Pompeo, who may not have his best interests at heart. The worst part of the Crap coming from the US media is the story that this has happened because Trump and his supporters didn’t wear masks and touched each other at rallies, when it has bugger all to do with wearing masks. This was emphasised by the admission - sort of - that one man in the Republican team who DID wear a mask tested positive!
It could have been in the sushi they all ate on Airforce one, or at an event, spiked with CV like the wet market in Beijing with salmon from Norway.
However, it is being suggested this is a Trump ploy for sympathy and support, which might be the case if he gets through it quickly, but he should have taken HCQ for that to be feasible.
