Thanks for this @Rich very revealing. He covers a lot of ground in this 20 or so minutes.
It’s hard to make (reliable) sense of the competing narratives without some reliable knowledge. Western narratives are exultative and emotional and laden with motivational nudge material, the accounts by people like Ritter and Col. Douglas McGregor at least have a real fabric and sound much more like they are from people who know what war involves in reality. While what’s put out to the western populace is one dimensional, the accounts of Ritter and McGregor seem to have the required depth.
Just a few days ago Ritter was explaining how western military advisers ignored military reality in their keenness to persuade Ukrainian forces to attempt a reckless mission that was always infeasible.
At the core, it seems simulation planning was based on parameters that were way too optimistic. Catastrophic tor the Ukrainians, but not so much for the west, who seem to take the view that there are always more resources to throw in - whether it be money, weapons or young Ukrainians.

My own reading of what Ritter says in the video, which is bang up to date, is that the problem will come when what is thrown in is less expendable - like low level support from Nato countries like Poland or Germany. This will suffer the same fate, but will put Nato on the path of escalation which - in Ritter’s judgement - has no hope of succeeding below the level of nuclear weapons.
At the same time, the logic of escalation, once it starts, is the same - throwing more in to recoup political losses. By the time the most fateful decision comes, it will be expensive for those with that gleam in their eye to fold.

Personally, I think that either Ritter has lost the plot or he’s going for doom porn revenues ala Snyder @ zerohedge.
Yesterday he was claiming it was civil war in Russia. And there’s a vast gulf between where we are now and nuclear weapons.
Far more likely is the possibility of a dirty bomb false flag.

double down when you’re current policy is in tatters!
I suspect the next ratchet will be the shooting down of US spy drones that provide Ukraine with detailed intell on Russian assets.

Hi folks, on the possibility of a Ukrainian false flag attack on the ZNPP here, between 6 and 9 minutes in, is an interesting theory - basically saying the ZNPP is too strong to be breached and it’s shut down at the moment so little danger of explosion, … so the Ukrainians intend to use himars to lob in uranium containing explosives to massively increase the radiation readings in the area and then blame the Russians for blowing up bits of ZNPP… all with the aim to enable Europe to send in troops!
