Having become desensitised to those video clips showing Skid Row America, and the fentanyl zombies in places like San Francisco, Chicago, and Toronto, I was still shocked to see uncannily similar footage from Birmingham.
There’s one or two pieces of set dressing for sure, few of the needles shown in the narrator’s count look genuine to me (addicts like the skinny fragile works not the veterinary-looking ones scattered about). Even so, I was genuinely shocked.
