The widely-neglected Gail Tverberg with some more deep good sense about shortages of 'the master resource': energy

Coming to a Europe near you, this Winter, and from here on. (And did you know that workshop-of-the-world China is already experiencing rolling electricity blackouts? One or two of the actually-competent commentators have already pointed that up.)

Actually, this is about energy-shortages created by the excessive complexity built deeply into our current way of doing ‘civilisation’, complexity which has no chance of avoiding a radical shake-out, as The Limits To Growth continue to deepen. Gail offers - yet again - sober insights which are simply unknown to the cloud-cuckoo-theory-ridden economist community, and the pols who take instruction from them. Recipe for widespread feck-ups; and - of course - for the desperate, bound to fail attempt at digital neo-feudalism that the scum-criminals behind the current scamdemic are plotting to foist on us all: continued ‘wealth’ streams for them, crumbs from the table for the rest of us - if we’re lucky; with added crack-brained attempts at a population cull, to boot.

Btw, tuck the notion of Ugo Bardi’s ‘Seneca Cliff’ away in memory; we’ll be hearing more about that:
