When I belatedly skim this article @RhisiartGwilym the thing that springs to mind most forcefully, on viewing the downright pathetic fake images, is how Stanley Kubrick filmed massive chunks of Full Metal Jacket on (then) wasteland in and around London Docklands, Hoo peninsula, and the Norfolk Broads.
