Well, facts as hardish as you can hope for in this scepticism-ruled world! 
Gail isn’t speaking of covid directly, but she sees, as do so many others, including some at least of the parasite billionaire drones clustered around Schwab and the WEF, despite Schwab’s own obsession with startrekky technonarcisstic nighmares: that the near future is one of a long, irreversible decline away from the high water mark of hypertechie industrial civilisation, with associated spontaneous - but horrid - decline from the current population overshoot, and far less hyper-prosperity in the world, even for those who - for the moment - still just about make up the Pampered Twenty Percent.
Since no-counts like me and many other such plebs can see this real future plainly enough, in outline if not in precise detail, it’s obvious that the parasites can see it too, and see the ‘need’ - from their viewpoint - for a much more authoritarian control of politics and especially of pleb freedoms, rights and expectations.
What better device to push this agenda forwards than an artificial, globally-induced Terror Derangement Syndrome, enabling the gics to herd the sheepish plebs - though not the goatish ones - towards their gulagist future society? Note, it’s me making this connection, not Gail…
