Very interesting, the whole rigmarole resembles EU agricultural grift.
My son works periodically at Cleve Hill Solar farm, worth looking up on a mapping app with satellite view. Part of the site was formerly derelict industrial land but a sizeable part was agricultural.
Loads of new roads and Barrett homes crowd the fringes. I was astonished how quickly these filled (about three years ago now).
Apparently there is always at least one day shift devoted to cleaning bird droppings off the panels (about a half a million off the things). I’ll hazard a guess the hosepipe ban won’t apply.
