The writer and embalmer Tom Haviland has been conducting “Worldwide Embalmer Blood Clot Surveys,” each year for the last 4 years.
His professional association has refused to participate in any of them.
This year they terminated a lively “Embalmers Forum” on their website. Each clot-related post received thousands of views.
The association then issued a reminder to members to engage with their Public Relations Officer when ‘engaging in media activities’ including social media.
Then they threatened all their members with potential legal action or criminal charges if they remove any material from corpses - which nominally applies to locks of hair etc but also includes white fibrous clots which have appeared since the covid vaccines were rolled out in 2021.
An additional reason to read Tom Haviland’s article (a guest on the host substack) is to spot any morbid puns.
