Russia replies to UK on Cameron statement

Moscow has threatened retaliation for any attacks with British weapons

Moscow will retaliate against British targets in Ukraine or elsewhere if Kiev uses UK-provided missiles to strike Russian territory, the Foreign Ministry told London’s ambassador on Monday.

Ambassador Nigel Casey was summoned to the ministry following an interview by British Foreign Secretary David Cameron with Reuters last week, in which he said Ukraine has the right to use long-range missiles sent by the UK to strike deep inside Russia.

”Casey was warned that the response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons on Russian territory could be any British military facilities and equipment on the territory of Ukraine and beyond,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement following the meeting.

Russia understands Cameron’s comments as “evidence of a serious escalation and confirmation of London’s increasing involvement in military operations on the side of Kiev,” the ministry added.
Casey was urged to “think about the inevitable catastrophic consequences of such hostile steps from London and to immediately refute in the most decisive and unequivocal manner the bellicose provocative statements of the head of the Foreign Office.”

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced an exercise to test the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons. President Vladimir Putin ordered the drills after “provocative statements and threats” by Western officials, the military said

Morning Loke,

Alarming news. Do you have a link to the article?

View from the gruniad

The Beltway bozo’s (and not just the US ones) seem to know no bounds on brinkmanship. A number of sources are now reporting that there are French troops on the ground in Ukraine. Apparently they are from the French Foreign Legion so mighty mouse Macron can say no French citizens are deployed there.

For what it’s worth my opinion is the sooner Russia stops trying to avoid civilian casualties and damage to Ukrainian infrastructure and just blitzes the sh*t out of Kiev, the sooner we can all go back to resting easy. Usukisnato will just have to suffer the humiliation and the military industrial complex can return to pre-war profitability and Zelensky can enjoy one of his European mansions.

Perhaps I’ll get some interesting replies to this?

Here’s one I cannot find anything for…

Rumour control says Saudi crown prince was attacked last night. Twitter evidence is already been deleted. Apparently many Royal guards are dead.

Definitely French in town. This fella had a 6 shot 40mm grenade launcher next to him…

As for not avoiding unneeded casualties, it is this key fact that separates the Russians from us. And we will not be resting easy whatever happens. The Russians are coming and you’re soon going to see how they do things. They have so many now that Ukraine reserves are tied up, not knowing where to go. The breakout is imminent.

We are going to war. It’s guaranteed. They need Russia’s wealth. If they don’t, it’s going to go pop. Maybe smarter heads are trying to pause the main event?

If you want some sort of idea how it’s gonna pan out…

Seems the assassination is fake. Oil went up 20c when it was announced though

From May 7th.

Russia has put it’s foot down resulting in a massive climbdown from the West. A turning point? History in the making? UK Govt has gone dead quiet and apparently none of this story is being covered in UK MSM.
