Interestingly, in the course of this discussion, Reiner describes the comprehensive corruption that they are encountering, particularly in state machines and their judiciaries, as well as in the corporatocracy, where it’s to be taken for granted, of course. This state contagion is happening as well because - as Reiner describes - of the absolutely enormous money-laundering rackets which are involved, and which seem to have sucked state governments into their influence.
I’ve been thinking for some time that the level of corruption now, whilst it was always pervasive, has never been so blatant and so utterly all-engulfing in my experience as it is now. This is one reason why I counsel constantly to be obdurately sceptical of - literally! - any and all information coming at us from the world’s media machine. Take absolutely everything - particularly ANY statistics, from ANY source - with a truck-load of salt. The gambler’s odds-calculating intuition is the only guide we have at the moment in this unwaymarked wilderness:
