KG essentially agrees with Pepe that Baraitser didn’t want to be seen to be responsible for anything resembling a real decision, and was just passing the buck upwards. Her unquestioning acceptance of the entirety of the US case endangers journalists around the world, and the irony is, as KG points out, that this may end up ultimately freeing JA whilst the precedent comes back to haunt a different journalist at a future date… You’d think some journos might have something to say about that…
