Anyone can make mistakes.
You wouldn’t prosecute a motorist for reckless driving just because he happened to run over a toddler.

Indeed. Though the motorist might try to pass it off as research, pointing out that her previous collision with a teenager only caused head injuries. The logic these corporate apologists use is as specious.
(Seems as though Pfizer settled with several bereaved families, four out of 200 kids in the experiment died, their families received ~£100k each.)
