Mossad openly spurs Iran protests to Iranians

(H/t to the Grayzone…)

You would be forgiven for thinking that the protests in Iran are entirely a brave spontaneous reaction to currency collapse and repression. But there is a lot else going on there, with Trump egging them on and CIA working its magic on the ground. Now Mossad reveals what may be the tip of another iceberg.

Mossad spurs Iran protests, says agents with demonstrators in Farsi message

As protests grow across Iran, the Mossad posted an unusual Farsi message urging demonstrators to act, saying it is with them in the streets, amid rising economic pressure and public unrest.

On Monday, the Mossad used its Twitter account in Farsi to encourage Iranians to protest against the Iranian regime, telling them that it will join them during the demonstrations.

“Go out together into the streets. The time has come,” the Mossad wrote.

It continued, “We are with you. Not only from a distance and verbally. We are with you in the field.”

The statement was a rare open acknowledgment from the Mossad regarding ongoing operations in Iran.

In June, the Mossad had hundreds of agents involved in Israel’s 12-day war, which set back Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles program, air defense systems, and killed dozens of its top military and intelligence officials.

Following the war, Mossad Director David Barnea released a rare statement foreshadowing the spy agency’s activities in Tehran, telling the general public that Israel “will [continue to] be there, like we have been there.”

The Twitter statements were issued as Iran protests spiked over the collapse of Iran’s Rial currency and a rise in fuel prices, as well as recent crises regarding the supply of water nationwide.

It was unclear if the Mossad was revealing more of its hand because it truly believed that it could help the current protests topple the regime, or if the statements are part of a broader and longer-term psychological warfare.

According to the Grayzone

"Western media has ignored a growing trove of video evidence showing terrorist tactics deployed across Iran by protesters described by Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch as “largely peaceful.” Recent videos published both by Iranian state media and anti-government forces reveal public lynchings of unarmed guards, the torching of mosques, arson attacks on municipal buildings, marketplaces and fire stations, and mobs of armed gunmen opening fire in the heart of Iranian cities.

Instead, Western media has focused almost exclusively on violence attributed to the Iranian government. In doing so, they have primarily relied on death counts compiled by Iranian diaspora groups funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the regime change arm of the US government, and whose boards of directors are filled with committed neoconservatives."

This from 2023 is very revealing, surely also representative of the present.

I’ll not bother pasting in the images of oppressed Iranian womenfolk lighting their torches of liberty but if you ever wanted to see revelation of the method, and blatantly clumsy, that was it. They did neglect to cite their source: Bernays, E. (1928)

In one alternate reality the closure of Hormuz and resulting price shock might Make Venezuelan Oil Profitable Again, so what the heck, muller the mullahs and justify it later. But I think wiser heads have prevailed. Fingers crossed
