More than half of Covid hospitalizations tested positive after admission

Two revelations, which are being acknowledged, reveal dents in the ‘Hospitalized with covid’ meme, a key plank in the Delta variant scariant in the absence of significant numbers of deaths.

As the title says, one revelation is people catching covid in hospital.
But also, significant numbers don’t really have covid, but are in for something else and later get tested.
It’s good that this is being acknlowedged of course - but another warning that obvious questions are likely just not to be asked.

Something to be pondered - implications for ‘deaths with covid’?

More than half of Covid hospitalizations tested positive after admission – .

The breakdown of daily hospital diagnoses of Covid shows that out of more than 780 hospitalizations dated last Thursday, 44% concerned people who tested positive in the 14 days before entering hospital.

Another 43% were done within two days of admission, including 13% in the days and weeks after, including those likely to have caught the virus in hospital.

Experts said the high number of late-detected cases – at a time when PCR testing was widely available – suggested that many such patients had been admitted for other reasons.

Professor Carl Heneghan, director of the Center for Evidence-Based Medicine at the University of Oxford, said: “This data is extremely important and should be published on an ongoing basis.

“When people hear about hospitalizations with Covid, they assume Covid is the probable cause, but this data shows something entirely different – this is Covid being detected after tests have it. research. “

Professor Heneghan urged the government to release clearer data, including whether or not the virus was the leading cause of hospitalization.

“This needs to be corrected urgently,” he said, adding that the data released could lead the public “to the wrong conclusions”, exaggerating the true levels of pressure on hospitals.

Sir Graham Brady, chair of the 1922 Conservative MPs committee, said: ‘Almost 18 months after the start of the Covid crisis, it is absurd that data on hospital admissions is still not publicly available regularly.

“Counting all the patients who test positive as Covid hospitalizations is inevitably misleading and gives a false picture of the continued impact of the virus on health. “

Greg Clark, chairman of the Commons Science and Technology Select Committee, said Monday evening he would write to Sajid Javid, the Secretary of Health, asking him to regularly release the breakdown after the Telegraph’s disclosure.

“While hospitalizations due to Covid are a key determinant of our concern and how quickly restrictions need to be lifted, it is important that the data is not presented in a way that could lead to the wrong conclusions being drawn,” did he declare.

“While some of these people may be admitted because of Covid, we currently don’t know how many. And for those who are not, there is a big distinction between people who are admitted because of Covid and those who are for something else but have Covid in such a mild form that it was not the cause. of their hospitalization. ”

The leaked statistics come from the NHS Daily Situation Reports, collected by all hospital trusts in England.

An NHS data expert said the statistics released distorted the real picture, saying: ‘It creates the impression that all of these people are going to the hospital with Covid, and that just isn’t the case. People are worried and scared and don’t really understand the real picture – that’s what I find contemptible. “

An NHS spokesperson said: ‘Many patients are admitted to hospital due to their symptoms and complications of Covid, which are then confirmed by a post-admission Covid test, and for others they may be initially presymptomatic or asymptomatic. ”

hi @Evvy_dense ,

An NHS spokesperson said: ‘Many patients are admitted to hospital due to their symptoms and complications of Covid, which are then confirmed by a post-admission Covid test, and for others they may be initially presymptomatic or asymptomatic. ” OR most of them could have caught it in hospital AND all of them could have been covid jabbed once or twice and still caught it in hospital whilst trying to overcome jab side effects…. as the article says, we don’t know and we need clearer data.

3 other points of interest:

45 mins in mentions that the third highest cause of death in the US is medical error. So this begs the question were all the usual medical errors avoided by closing off GP surgeries and hospital admissions thereby dropping the excess death toll or did the medical errors continue online instead?

  • Peter McCullough speculated that any jab shedding would most likely fall away after a month thanks to our antibodies ( I think?) after suggesting that the jab impact is more likely within 7 days than later ( although he didn’t raise ADE!) from his stewpot interview.

  • the Israelis appear to be facing large numbers of jabbed who are still getting covid which they say justifies a third jab! - this from a tweet from Robert Malone.

cheers

PS I meant to add this link to the Israel stats:

The stats could easily be hiding a series of compensating errors with pluses and minuses all over the place? Changing definitions and test parameters just increase the uncertainty, and I think this is deliberate!

Point is CJ, it’s different jab in the booster, made to react to the Delta scarient (!) whose form is significantly different. The cases of Delta having taken off in many countries because the spike doesn’t stop it - but the variant is also much less deadly - I’ve no doubt regardless of all the crap about it “more children getting sick”, 1000 times faster multiplying… spread in the air…
What I’m sure IS making a difference is whether those infected have already antibodies to COVID-19 from earlier waves, including those vaccinated, where it is the natural immunity that’s more likely to protect them. But I think we went over all this before!!!

Hi @Dimac , this piece just posted by Rich supports your point about boosters but also goes down the scariest path:

well worth watching imo.

cheers

Thanks CJ, will examine.
BTW, about to look at seminar tonight from Doctors for Covid Ethics/UK Column - wonder if you’ve seen it. The time is better for you!
