Merck Signs $1.2 Billion U.S. Supply Pact for Covid-19 Pill

Why did Merck come out so strongly against their widely used and incredibly safe drug, Ivermectin? H/t Dr Mobeen Syed

Last week saw the first results of this planning. The Department of Health and Human Services announced that it would purchase from Merck 1.7 million doses of molnupiravir at a cost of $1.2 billion, provided that the current trial leads to authorization by the Food and Drug Administration

No matter what you think about Dr Syed’s vaccine videos, he is pushing very hard and very publicly in favour of Ivermectin. I wonder how long he will last on YouTube now that Pierre Kory has been censored (including his testimony to Congress!)

Widely used, safe, and cheap.

But here’s a more considered response, Taibbi again. It’s behind his paywall but there’s enough visible to get a feel for it…

Consonant with my comment elsewhere, X is bad, Y said it so Y is a Bad Person. Y also said Z, so Z must also be Bad.

Real world UK example:

Paul Embery (E) favoured Brexit, but Any Fule Kno Brexit is bad. E says Woke politics is simplistic and divisive. Brexiteers are also racists, because evidence, E is probably a racist too. This Bad Stuff about Woke politics that he said is an attack on lovely Trans folks isn’t it so that means he’s a Transphobe too. And he appeared on GB News alongside Nigel Farage. QED.
