Let’s pray the sun comes out soon and the bailiffs can get back to their essential work.

Dmitry Orlov has been predicting this for some time. But also, worse to come. He points out that the depleted US industrial capacity means that there is - literally - no manufacturing facility anywhere within US territory which can make the large-sized transformers that are essential to maintaining the integrity of the grid, US-wide. He also underlines the idea briefly mentioned in the above article, that whole areas which go without electricity for long enough will see degradations to the system sufficient to mean that - in practice - those areas will NEVER get back onto the grid…

US now accelerating into its collapse-of-USSR moment. And with such a competent and fully-authenticated team in the federal administration, too. They should really be able to take care of it - with a united populace behind them.

Dmitry has also been pointing out for about fifteen years that, when the US collapse comes, it’s going to be a whole lot worse for USAmericans than it was for Russians, because the gangster-capitalist freeforall of the US ensures that basic services which kept going for Russians, because of the residual momentum of their state-socialist system, will crash and disintegrate pronto in the US. As we’re seeing in Texas right now…

Well said Rhis. I reckon old DO was spot on.

Here’s another hair raising update from the front lines

And I just saw this

"The ERCOT grid has collapsed in exactly the same manner as the old Soviet Union,” said Hirs. “It limped along on underinvestment and neglect until it finally broke under predictable circumstances.

Yep. Reckon old Dimitry called it

If only the Texas Agriculture Commission were people who listened, the “Ice Age Farmer” podcasts, they, like DO, would have seen this coming, although DO did see it long before anyone else.

I’ve never heard of the “ice age farmer”. I’ll check it out!

Dmitry had the ultimately-stark lessons of the collapsing Soviet Union mercilessly before his eyes, when his dark epiphany came to him. He could hardly fail to notice the parallels, being a time-served child of both Russia and USAmerica.
