Police on scene in a response time of 6 minutes ( half the average for highest urgency event response for the Met - 12 minutes)
here is the Met’s response time analyses2019 to 2024 which you have to download to a spreadsheet and look at the “table” tab: https://www.met.police.uk/foi-ai/metropolitan-police/disclosure-2024/august-2024/police-response-times-january2019-july2024/
I have no idea what the Manchester response time is.
There is a statement that the police regarded this as a terrorist attack ( as opposed to one individual with psychological problems ) - within 6 minutes of the call to the police or after the police shot 3 people?
Another statement - there is an enquiry going on run by the Independent Office for Police Conduct where the police at the scene are being treated as witnesses not suspects!
There are around 50,000 knife related crimes in the UK including around 250 deaths per annum - how many of these were treated as terrorist offences within 6 minutes of the crime and resulted in the police shooting to death the suspect?
No evidence of explosives was found despite the police blowing up some sites!
No doubt police cameras and CCTV in the area will clear up all the questions! Just like the Manchester arena event.
On the day I believe I read that Israel had killed 45 palestinians!
a) Armed police on the scene in within 7 minutes “after being of being alerted to the incident”. I guess the attacker just stood around waiting for them to arrive?
b) An attacker named “Jihad”. Smacks of the Lee Rigby “murder” where the attackers names were Adebolajo and Adebowale around the time were were all supposed to be terrified of the Ebola pandemic
c) The alleged attacker was shot dead despite being unarmed. 7/7 and Jean Charles de Menezes anyone?
Looking forward to the promotion of the ‘officer’ in charge of the incident!
It would be useful if the police could come up with a non-lethal alternative policy to the routine annihilation of suspects.
On this occasion, the Dead Men Tell No Tales policy also succeeded in doubling the innocents’ death toll.
SAS showed up in Blue Thunder (as they call it). The BBC had a news article about it that was 9 hours old at the time of the incident (shades of wtc7). The video I saw (graphic) showed the police shouting about a bomb and trying to move folks back. Some didn’t move. Shock? Suspension of belief? Just stupid? Fella recording the video does want to leave (vehicle passenger) and can be heard shouting “Don’t fucking shoot him!” after police claimed there was a bomb. It was the second cop who claimed bomb. The first simply ordered everyone back. About ten seconds later, shot fired
Thought I’d add just one more question to my list in an earlier post. I’ll call this d)
Just seen a video shown on the ZBBC. Two armed police officers shouting at a “suspect” and aiming their guns at him after he’s shot and lying on the ground. Then they both turn around, move away from the lifeless body on the ground, and shout at the watching crowd telling them “everybody get away”. Perhaps so they can’t see what was going on?
Ostensibly because Al Sham was believed to have some kind of suicide vest. If he did then up against a wall is a good place to leave him. And how come they didn’t back off themselves?
