Kids find a use for chemistry

Seems lateral flow tests can be folled by some acids as in fruit.
These kids are on it! To escape school…

Lol - a kiwi fruit has now tested positive for ‘covid’ under both tests. Is the vitamin C theory up the spout then :grinning:
Would be a larf if somebody served that question up to Professor Marik

I was terrified to get my kilo bags of C PCRed, in case they’re all riddled with covid! But then I thought: “Oh wait a minute! It’s the PCR, so nothing to worry about there. Zero efficacy as an actually-honest, real test. Bring the damnfool ‘tests’ on. See if I care!”

That’s a pass in Chemistry lol.

I really do wonder if the same shenanigans caused the sudden four or five fold increase in ‘cases’ at a Certain University. End of term today, all exams written, but students can ask for ‘mitigations’ if their performance may have been sub par. Some form filling, some medical evidence, and a sympathetic board of examiners could help massage the pass rate.

Having visited Plague Central yesterday I can report that a lot of grass cutting has been going on but that all other outward signs of apocalypse are as lacking as they’ve always been.

I keep telling my 11 year old grandson to wipe the test on his bum but his parents won’t let him.

Wise advice, in view of the rising risk of a cases-based toilet roll shortage
