Is the Intercept like the new Guardian

Interesting report of a factual nature relating Trump’s seemingly unhinged attacks on Venezuela to Obama policy.

Useful factual information - but ignoring an elephant in the living room.
Otherwise known as the CIA.

What is in these documents is only remarkable because of past Presidential involvement, in a somewhat discrete fashion compared to the orange blowhard.
But it seems to be like the routine CIA business which was an open secret up until at least the nineties.
No-mention in the born-yesterday Intercept article of this policy of debstabilisation and overthrow of nationalist or left wing democratic governments.
And did they say the US wanted to “join the drug war”? I was under the impression that they often started it. But I don’t have any detailed knowledge.

Any thoughts? I haven’t read much in the Intercept since it chucked out Glenn Greenwald who co-founded it.

Internal Report Shows the Military Always Wanted to Join the Drug War

The Obama-era document called for “direct military action.” Today, the authors are questioning Trump’s approach.
