USAmerica has finally lost it’s long losing war against Afghanistan, and is being driven out. Russia, China and local friends are stepping in - it is their back-yard, after all - and they’re reorganising the whole shebang. The present-day Tali have learned a few things since the Western aggression against them began, and - with Chinese and Russian tutelage - they’re playing a cannier game. They’re absolutely going to need help from someone to get their land back on its feet again. And of course the gics running the Az empire aren’t going to do that. They never do. So it will be the rising empires in the North and East.
USAmerica no longer has the means to conduct long-distance thug-interference in other people’s countries with any chance at all of success. They can no longer even hold their own country together.
