This looks like a very interesting book for this crowd. Lots of shout outs to folk well known to this board, with Holmgren himself being no small name. I think I might look for a copy.
The review is very interesting as a stand alone piece.

The cover image somewhat reminds me of the piles of “must reads” that this has to join. In a way that acquisitive spirit, the restless discontent (dukkha) momentarily quietened before surging back, must read this, gotta have that, is at the core of our crises. The Tathagata patiently explained this 2560+ years ago.
But here we are.
Ha, nice thought. The acquisitive nature applies equally to books, knowledge and things I guess. It probably does reflect an inner restlessness as you laser in on.
Makes me think of a great line from a book by a favourite cartoonist of mine - Michael Leunig:
In response to your question “What is worth doing and what is worth having?” I would like to say simply this. It is worth doing nothing and having a rest
To Have Or To Be as Erich Fromm put it.
