Times are changing alright
For SLEG-crude - Sweet, Light, Easy-Get oil - with highish EROEI - the all-time world peak was in 2005. The picture with all fossil-hydrocarbon fuels has got steadily more dire since then. Richard Heinberg has been a consistently sober, accurate chronicler of the whole wretched debacle from the outset. His restrained and balanced estimates of the near-term consequences are always go-to reliable as well. Little heard amongst the ‘movers and shakers’ (hah!) though. The mad, destructive technosphere egregore and it’s human zombies career madly on towards self-destruction.
Yesterday, the egregore’s tree-destroyer zombies reached the protectors’ camp which I’ve been helping to man, and began destroying yet another copse of mature trees - idiots!
You could be forgiven for wishing on the destruction which they’re doing until it sweeps away and destroys them all, so that Mam Gaia’s recovery process can get going promptly, ASAP. As - thank god - it will…
