Like the Bourbons returning to rule France after the interludes of the French Revolution and Napoleon, Labour has learned nothing from their long line of devastating defeats since 2010. By putting up a soundly beaten ex-MP with views at dramatic variance from most of the voters he is seeking to woo they are displaying arrogance, ignorance and ineptitude in one neat and ugly package.
It is well past the time for a new socialist party to be set up and demolish the democratically corrupt labour party under Starmer.
Jeremy Corbyn’s early successes are of course painted over in Jones’ comments - we now know that JC only lost his first GE ( he was, I believe, only 2000 votes away from a majority) because of the Labour traitors inside the party.
The MSM and the anti-social media have ensured that no-one can voice anti-government views about the covid policy catastrophe, so most people probably think the The Tories are great
and Labour a joke, and a bad one at that.
cheers
The author is correct but far too gentle. I see another post on the same page claiming, unironically I suppose but cannot verify, as I have no intention of reading it, that Labour are heading in the right direction…
Ex-Labour ARE heading in the right direction: towards history’s rubbish bin. Those who cut their umbilical cord too soon are condemning themselves to death by asphyxiation - or in this case by irrelevance. Starmer-on, you deluded fools. Get out of the way and let a new actually-socialist mass-movement arise to replace you.
