Just wanted to wish all visitors here a happy winter solstice (or summer solstice for our southern hemisphere brothers and sisters).
Hope you have a peaceful day. And for those who can, please do take a look into the night sky tonight. The great conjuction of Jupiter and Saturn is beautiful, and Mars is also prominent in the sky. Our three nearest neighbours as we gaze out into through our solar system into deep space.
Magical.
And to you. I too find this a special point of the year. Sadly, pouring with rain here so unable to see the conjunction - had my telescope ready too. But when there are no clouds getting in the way we’re lucky enough to have quite dark skies.
I have my scope out as well. Yesterday was beautifully clear and we had since lovely views. Hoping for another look later in the week!
