Good sketch of the current British mess, by a wee Scottish ginger dug

Paul is a nice writer, and pretty on the ball about Scotland’s struggle to tear free of the wuks (the wretched ukstate) and become a small, civilised West European country.

But beware: He’s apparently blind to the terminal nose-dive now engulfing the EU; and he’s absolutely blind to the realities of the pseudopandemic and the disastrous poison-stabs. One of the unfortunately hypnotically over-suggestible people in those matters: swallowed it all, h,l,&s. And he’s also a see-no-evil Nicola groupie.

But otherwise, pretty good:

Not sure about pretty good…

The site went under because Centrica wanted the government to splash out on some of it. Without going into it being right or not, the government had been shovelling cash to the companies using the infrastructure and the infrastructure crew wanted some too. After all, energy providers are making money whilst using the infrastructure. Government said no, so off it went.

I’d also happily argue with the writer over the assertion that Hoyle is useless. He is clearly the opposite. Job jobbed, and his reward will come in due course.

The final claim that stopped me from continuing was the claim the UK should have been well placed to weather the storm. Codfanglers! We’re right up the proverbial creek…

What do we have in the UK as tradable commodities? Fish, wood (maybe), coal and some smart (racing) car engineers. All the stuff that was used to create value has been flogged, all the knowledge and experience is lost, dead or unlikely to want to share.

The EU obsession is like a post from the guardian. They’ll be screaming to rejoin as they watch it implode on their screens.

Wood? To export? You thinking of Finland, L? I think we have about 2% tree cover in this denuded island. Which - when Mam Gaia gets her way again, and Britain is back to a million or so humans - will be re-covering with Yr Ail Coed Mawr: The Second Great Wood. Just give it a few hundred years…

Agreed. The mere mention of the word Brexit is a red flag these days. Surely it’s obvious that semi-detaching from mainland Europe, and thereby avoiding some of the worst economic warfare from stateside, is really not at all a bad place to be in realpolitik terms…?

So stop whining about it referendum-deniers

But in realpolitik terms, those English-raj class traitors-to-the-British-peoples running the wuks* have their lips superglued to the Swampy fundament even more strongly than the other comprador quislings running the EU states. The MI5/6 rackets are really obedient provincial extensions of the CIA, as are the special forces of what’s left of the British military; the political stitch-up in Paedominster is as subservient to the US as any state in the world: A peculiarly grovelling province of the Anglozionist empire, with the rajista traitors happily shooting the Brit plebs in all our feet to order, whenever the Swamp creatures demand it.

The whole world is watching the NATZO/Russia war in the Ukraine, and seeing the obvious: that the US’s NATZO racket has become a rapidly-crumpling paper tiger, whereas Russia has done a striking phoenix act since the '90s, and, to boot, is now in close alliance with the other big power in the world: a double act which the US is simply powerless to defeat; whilst - just as Dmitry Orlov was prophesying right from the time that he observed and reported from the collapsing USSR and its wretched aftermath - the US is following precisely the same track into collapse; now well advanced.

The odds-makers are saying this will take twenty years to resolve into new world arrangements; I’m inclined to think less, especially with the Long Descent now breathing heavily down the neck of the West.

The US is on its last legs, in its present incarnation. Roll on Jim Kunstler’s accurately-prophetic vision of ‘The [NAmerican] World Made By Hand’! (The Long Descent will insist on that…)

*the wretched ukstate - the wuks; or if you’d prefer something a little more rabelaisian, the shitwuks… :grinning:
