Good for them, at one level. It’s all just Class War really isn’t it. And those in power are VERY good at it.

Take as an example the recent Statutory Instrument mandating jabs for workers in Registered Care settings. Paraphrased below, original text here:

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2021/891/regulation/5/made

A would be the registered care manager or their delegate in each case. A must prevent B from entering the care home premises which probably includes the garden, for example, and back stage areas like kitchen, laundry, boiler room, etc.

unless…

(a)B is a service user residing in the premises used by A;

(b)B has provided A with evidence that satisfies A that either—

(i)B has been vaccinated with the complete course of doses of an authorised vaccine; or

(ii)that for clinical reasons B should not be vaccinated with any authorised vaccine

OR (although the word OR doesn’t expressly appear, just a semi colon)

(c) that it is reasonably necessary for B to provide emergency assistance in the premises (interesting wording… If all staff are sick or on strike does this mean A can engage unvetted agency workers? If the alternative is that A has to do some of the real work rather than gaze at CCTV and update Facebook then, yes, I rather imagine it could mean that) OR

(d) that it is reasonably necessary for B to provide urgent maintenance assistance with respect to the premises (e.g. a wall fell down and has to be repaired) OR

(e) B is attending the premises used by A in the execution of B’s duties as a member of the emergency services (e.g. PC12345 has had a report of an unmasked swarthy person nearby and must investigate) OR

(f) B is a friend or relative of the service user that is or has been residing in the premises (e.g. C has to come and pick up her deceased mums possessions…) OR

(g) B is visiting a service user who is dying;
(e.g. C visits her gravely ill mum) OR

(h) it is reasonably necessary for B to provide comfort or support to a service user in relation to a service user’s bereavement following the death of a friend or relative; (e.g. the Rev Paul Whicker comes to sip tea and proffer words of solace to resident D, whose wife died at Mega Care Inc’s neighbouring Granny Farm)

or AND THIS TIME THE WORD OR IS EXPRESSLY USED

(i) B is under the age of 18 (e.g. D’s grandson)

So:

Could a cook, porter, grounds person, or care worker unable to prove their vaxxx credentials be tolerated on the premises?

NO, that simply won’t do.

Could a nice vicar or a lady from the WRVS visit to offer solace to a grieving resident?

YES, of course, because they are decent members of society, not minions, and this is the class-ridden UK.

Could an investigator with a hidden camera seeking to expose callous disregard for care home residents be permitted? Seemingly, if they pass the vaxxx credentials test, they might well be.

Hi @KarenEliot , clearly this bunch of billionaire bastards in charge have decided to move to the new feudal system by use of the jack boot in the door rather than their usual invisible automatic incremental widening wedge.
Of course the boot was ignored by the government’s official broadcaster ( GOB) as human rights are not comparable to Olympic news!

cheers
