Irish Government committee outlines policies needed to promote vitamin D
I like how this committee didn’t bury their vitamin D/covid view in ‘general benefit’. Remains to be seen if the Irish govt itself will pick it up. The recommendation is 20-25 microg, not the UK govt’s piddly 10 microg designed to do as little as possible.
But it looks as though one brick might be falling out of the wall of institutional resistance to the benefits of vitamins.
Admittedly it’s a wall that will likely prove resilient to crumbling while half the bricks are still there; vitamin resistance has been pandemic for decades, and also this could weaken the apparent attempt to use Covid-19 to drive vaccines into our liberties, which has required the mantra of being “the only way out of this awful pandemic” (which appeared suspiciously early with politicians around the western world surprisingly on cue).
The opposition regarding Vitamin D at least has been getting more visible over the past year so this is an interesting development, IMO.
