Excoriating survey by Larry Romanoff, via Unz Review, of exactly how the US is exceptional -

Reading this article, I get the odd smell of vaguely-crazed OTT comments, but on the whole it seems like a reasonable account, heavily annotated with links to other reports, to justify it’s position; not that I’m in any position of masterly knowledge and insight about these matters to be able to judge. I just offer this piece because it seems to me to get pretty near to the current parlous state of the US, as it accelerates into it’s own collapse-of-USSR period. Seems to me that we are watching the US collapse right now. This article doesn’t seem to me to be particularly extremist - though I’m sure many of the defenders of the increasingly indefensible standard orthodox Western narrative about the US would tar it instantly with that brush:

I think comments on the article posted to date over at UNZ cover the waterfront of diverse reactions expected, incited by the IMPLIED (to me, incendiary) view that Americans comprise the “US” – as in “American exceptionalism”. As documented extensively (www.annavonreitz.com) and operationalized – implemented, too! (www.theamericanstatesassembly.net) – the living men and women of America do not equate to the [incorporated] “US Government” or the joined-at-the-hips corporations. Those who enjoy exploring rabbit holes may meet their match with this one!

Humbly, this being my baptismal post on 5Filters, I suggest a separate thread to examine and discuss America and its history. Any here familiar with the work of Miles Mathis – for instance, his papers on Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson and, further removed in time, the Salem Witch trials – will have a sense of what I’m getting at. In my opinion, based on years of research, Anna Von Reitz is a go-to source for unrefuted if startling findings.

Well documented are 150 years (actually, much, much longer) of exceptionally well executed programs to “dumb down”, “numb up”, and otherwise defraud, rob, and pillage Americans on their own land and soil. Those who point (or give) the finger, blaming the stupidity, gullibility, and ignorant acquiescence of “we the people” – that is, those of us NOT party to or even aware of the corporatist-government-military amalgamation ruling the roost right now – underestimate the immense effort and investment of what I label The Power$ That be [TP$TB]. Come forth to this day – CON-Troll of the “making of money”, of the media, with agents and representatives peopling interlocking directorates of multinatioonal corporations, governments (national, state, local) – what chance did the “average Joe” have, really?

I submit the “exceptionalism” associated with the “US” has its roots in history before America as we might think of this country began. As Miles Mathis might comment, consider this as yet another invasion and CON-Quest of the Phoenician Navy.

What is the Phoenician Navy?

A good point, and worth remembering.

Also a great point. Please feel free to start a thread on such a topic. It could be interesting. Maybe it’s time to pull out my Howard Zinn again…

Welcome to the forum A. Nice to have you

GOOGLE may not be GOD but, as an oracle, answers most questions nearly instantly. If you search for “Miles Mathis” and “Phoenician Navy”, then you’ll have on screen a diversity of “hits” beyond simple description. To have a direct, if complex response requiring a few hours of reading and contemplation, then you’ll want to surf over to http://mileswmathis.com/updates.html and, on that page, search for PHOE.

Be forewarned: I think it fair to say that Miles Mathis’ work and writings are acquired tastes, not for the timid or for the closed of mind.

Simple questions often get answers orders of magnitude more complicated and much longer in duration than desired. Nonetheless, if only because 'twas I who introduced the phrase “Phoenician Navy”, then I also owe you an answer here and now.

Based on my research, which extends to the history of the Roman Church, Judaism, and the country called “America”, I understand “Phoenician Navy” as The Power$ That Be [TP$TB]. TP$TB (my phrase) date back long before any of us might otherwise suspect, indeed, at least as far as Phoenicia! Miles Mathis has listed four or five papers that deal with this hitherto unappreciated (translation: hidden) line of history, all the way to the present.

They be among us, even now! Cue ominous music.

Thanks for the reply Al. After a brief dip into the material on Miles, I think I’ll leave him in the file marked ‘Watching brief’: neither dismissive, nor particularly convinced. Worth a watch, though, to see if anything really persuasive comes out. He seems to make a huge number of confident assertions in everything he writes, with very little in the way of supportive evidence. He may just be a polymathic genius, though. Always unwise to neglect that possibility. Wait and see what comes out…
