End of the war in Ukraine, but what of Europe?

There is so much happening right now. Meeting is being arranged in Saudi Arabia and I suspect we will see the deal concluded there too. Lavrov and Rubio have agreed to regular phone calls (apparently there has been zero contact from Biden’s team for three years…).

European leaders are in total disarray. I’ve watched several give contradictory answers repeatedly within a few minutes. Fond Of Lying thinks she’s going to get a seat and she’s obviously already forgotten China and Turkeys lesson of no seat, no place, no recognition.

Then there’s the irony. Vance speaks of no free speech in Europe, Europe replies that the speech he made is unacceptable.

My questions are;

  1. What’s the cost for UK taxpayers. Wasn’t their adventure, but it is their bill.
  2. What are the ramifications of this? End of NATO?
  3. When are we going to start seeing things like this?

  1. “Wasn’t their adventure, but it is their bill.” Yep, taxpayers pay for politicians´corruption/stupidity. Here in Germany I wouldn´t be surprised to see a solidarity tax for Ukr, just like we had one for E. Germany at re-unification, “for only one year”, but we are still paying it decades later.
  2. Hopefully end of nato, and of the eu. Van der Lying behind bars for multiple cases of corruption, war crimes, crimes against humanity.
  3. “When are we going to start seeing things like this?”. Very soon if the UK persists with its anti-Russia stance.

Won’t echo @Sanjeev but good reply! I suspect the EU will totter on but VD Liar needs to be deposed. The EU has no place making foreign policy, and for the sheep to all bleat at Macron’s prompt is pointless. NATO is going to be “reformed” at the very least.

A propos 3. I gather that arms from 404 are much appreciated among the drug cartels.
