Digital ID

Announcement was made yesterday.

Seems rebellion is already being discussed? I suspect a council tax moment on a larger scale. They need to up the propaganda too…

Jeesus. Yes make it seem about potholes. I despair. But it’s good to see Blair’s instinct for lying is not diminsihed - a national treasure!

Sorry that was my Blallergy…was listening to a radio phone in. Most people seemed to think What’s the problem, as we need some kind of ID for so many things already.

A tech expert came on and explained that he had followed the behind-the-scenes government plans with interest, and there was no doubt this was going to be used as a framework to hang on many other data items. And as someone else had pointed out, AI will be running all over it. Meaning our dots will be joined up and processed, pretty much by anyone with access to the ID in the first place.

It’s clear from the p(l)andemic that had digital ID been in place the government would have tried to move to compulsory vaccination passports - it’s already an EU objective from before Covid. A social credit system would creep in - a natural process, we already have a developed cancel culture, even without a system of central ID with personal data tacked on.

I don’t think it’s gonna work. I say this despite barely remembering PINs and passwords and, tbh, hardly bothering with cash.

Voluntary scheme for 16 year olds, so they can vote for the soft left. Keep running those test sites in Sri Lanka, New Gaza Smart City, Mariupol, gradually catchee slaves …

Trying to outflank Farage from the right is doomed. Ballistic debt missiles incoming. Rushing the agenda far too much. Starver is toast, though I expect a mid-term switcheroo will be attempted.

…to think that footie hooligans were once the enemy within

Oh, and of course your data will be secure. Will it ****

I use a password manager, with 48 bit passwords and an alias for every site. Two sites where I pay monthly by credit card have been hacked in the last two years. Neither site bothered to inform me. I had to get notification from the dark web scan software I use.

Fortunately, the hack that got credit card details, only managed an expired card, but both got my full bank IBAN, and the email address I use for these. I dread to think what the hackers will get when sites hold your insurance details, your tax info, employment data, and all your health records.

Flippin big potholes we seem to be heading for.
