It seems like Prof David Graeber had died, at only 59 years old…
His book on debt was brilliant, as was his involvement in occupy wall street and other direction action campaigns.
Very sad
This was one of the reasons I really respected him. Here he is on twitter after last year’s election, calling out the Guardian (his one time employer) and explicitly pointing out how they used his radical credentials to lie and scam the public.
God damn it,
This came up on Firefox’s “Pocket” today. It’s above my head, but I suspect it will mean quite a lot to others here. You can get from it a clear idea of how others felt about him, a sampling of the kind of work he did, and an inkling of the kind of person he was:
