Dahr talking about the extent of the climate catastrophe surrounding us, and some personal thoughts on how to live with the knowledge.
Sending love to all of you here on this board. And the others who pop in to read. We’re in for some tough times my fellow travelers.
Keep reporting this inf. about Dahr, P! I remember marking him as an exceptionally-honest investigative journalist - the real thing - when he went freelance to Iraq in 2003. Stature and reputation have only grown since then; one of the elect, with insight reaching from the mundane right down into the transcendental. Always worth hearing.

Totally agree RG. Dahr Jamail is an extremely principled journalist with great integrity. He brings that to everything he does.
This whole question of how to live with your eyes open is a very difficult thing. Something that I’m struggling with myself every day.
Cheers
Don’t despair, P!! I promise you that serenity and - entirely realistic, long-term - hope are still credibly possible, even as the imminent horrendous mess gets really into its stride, as it’s doing now. I find that you can, ultimately, access that resolute mind-state quite objectively, without straining or self-deceiving.
Our job - all those who wish to make and hold solid good white magic to help heal this planetary shitshow - is to find the way, as Dahr describes so cogently, to get past the other four stages of grief to the final state of acceptance; and then to continue with the helping and healing magic to which everyone of us can contribute at least a snowflake’s-worth. Remember the old Broad Scots (peculiarly contradictory) saying: ‘Mony a mickle maks a muckle’ - which should translate as ‘many a little makes a big’, but which actually seems to be saying ‘many a big makes a huge’… - ?
My preferred personal variant is 'Many a snowflake makes an avalanche! Many a raindrop makes a flash-flood!" Watch out for those buggers, when the “wielders of the Flame of Arnor; the Servants of the Secret Fire” (Gandalf to the Balrog) apply their full capability… Man Gaia is a Full Member of that fellowship, you know!

Thanks for the encouragement and wise words, RG. It’s appreciated and needed.
I’m currently trying to refocus my life, and find ways of better plugging in and working with my local community. I’m also taking more time off from being online…
No point sinking into despair over things I have no control over…
Cheers
