And 5 candidate vaccines, two of which are entering phase 3 trials. Despite the economic terrorism of the US and it’s clients. Cuba leading the way in Latin America once again
More details on Cuba’s herculean efforts in developing its own home grown vaccines in the face of harsh new sanctions from the north.
Thanks for this post PP. There is a lot of detail about Cuba’s vaccines but what I wondered is why no detail on their current pre-vaccine treatment regimen which the report mentioned as an aside. The report praised their track trace and treat policy which kept deaths to a low number- but no details of the treatments. To me their current treatments and procedures that are saving lives far outweigh Cuba’s vaccine progress which would seem to be still being tested.
The MSM have generally downplayed or ignored all treatments that are not officially blessed. ( The US cannot give full approval to a vaccine where other treatments are easily available, hence the smearing of HCQ and the under-reporting of ivermectin, imo ). Is this another example in the alternative media? Or is my tinfoil hat reflecting too much?
Cheers
That’s a good point @CJ1. I did spend some time now and then trying to find out if they were using HCQ regularly or Ivermectin, but I couldn’t get a lot of info about it. I’d be very interested if someone else was able to dig that info up. I know that they have a lot of homegrown meds in Cuba which they rely on as importing a lot of meds through the embargo is nigh on impossible for them…
Cheers

I don’t think your headwear is necessarily at fault CJ. It read to me though as if the vaccine paradigm frames both articles, the second in particular, within a narrative of progress despite the efforts of bullies. This could legitimately explain why treatment successes are left out of the framing.
Scepticism about vaccines per se, or dwelling upon the success of cheap, effective treatments, not to mention any suggestion that use of ventilators was essentially a form of execution, are tricky lines to cross…
