We, a great wide swathe of the British plebs, are disenfranchised until we insist, in critical mass, on some new political formation thrusting its way into Paedominster. And even that won’t change things to our material benefit without something close to a civil-war/revolution in - specifically - English politics; a struggle which is already in train…

I just couldn’t agree more, RG. The Labour party and the Dems in the US (together with their media organs, the Guardian, CNN, NYT, WAPO - and now the Intercept, it seems) are as much a part of the gangster class as the Tories, Reps etc.
All of them have to be swept into the dustbin of history. The sooner the better.

apparently we are not alone in thinking like that…
The PLP crew will be joining the Lib-Dums in the Fatuously-Irrelevant Dregs club from here on, I fancy, with a permanent - though electorally unrepresentative - tory government in England for the foreseeable future; with Scotland gone; and with the seeds of doubt and - whisper it - out-of-box, independent-minded thinking continuing to grow amongst the Cymry, and amongst the people of the FOSCOE; even the prards, as is happening now amongst the younger generation in the North.
[FOSCOE acronyms Foreign-Occupied Six Counties Of Eire; prards was the name given by two Catholic Scots guys, whom I knew when we were all teenies, to the Protestant street-aggro opponents whom they encountered in Glasgow in the '50s. From whence comes, by the way, that famous Scots slogan: ‘If you don’t run, they can’t chase you - Jimmy!’
