'COVID-19: The 'unusual' new variant that may be more infectious than Delta'

“Results suggest Lambda is more infectious than Gamma and Alpha and is better able to escape the antibodies produced by vaccines.”

“Lambda has a unique pattern of seven mutations in the spike protein that the virus uses to infect human cells, according to the Financial Times.”

There’s a number of ways of looking at this, e.g.:

  • How many people are still buying this covid bullshit?

  • The globalists are toying with us, the way an adult teases a toddler or a dog in the park.

  • There are comedy scriptwriters collecting material from real-life for their upcoming film, ‘Carry On Covid’.

  • Personally, my biggest concern is for the Greek alphabet: we are rapidly approaching the point where we might run out of letters for naming variants.

The Lame-da variant from Lima, first symptom: everything smells like marmalade.

The story read like an attack on the shoddy Chinese vaxxx to me.

Sky UK seem to be pushing the Unjabbed Variant Factories (UVF) line today.

With masks no longer mandatory you can absolutely bet that the “I care, look: mask” trope will become institutionalised along with UVF and will mutate (I did a irony) into bareface=unvaxxxed=pariah.

I dunno, K. Despite the desperate efforts of the scammers, I sense that the whole bloody operation is falling apart. The steady trickle of heartfelt testimonies, now turning into a flood, of personal catastrophes suffered after taking the damned stabs, that on its own, is tearing the delusions down, quite apart from all the other dissident information that’s spreading steadily through the grassroots. We, the herd, are going to insist on Summer freedom, and we’re going to be ever more difficult to shepherd back into the pens, come next flu season.

At the very least the lifting of the mask mandate will be telling in so far as it should reveal the numbers of mask-lovers and those less enamoured of the hideous things - - it should be plain to see - especially in supermarkets - the true extent to which people willingly wear the awful things. We’ve been hammered constantly with polls purporting to show that a majority of people favour more lockdown / continued masking etc…well now we may get to see for ourselves.

One other minor niggle here - that is Johnson’s pronunciation of the word ‘careful’ - why does the raging pillock say ‘carful’? I can’t stand even hearing his voice let alone watching him - but I did listen to yesterday’s blancmanche, and he said it; ‘carful’ - - the sick affected arse he is.

I’m genuinely hopeful too.

While Javid is a suspicious character, tossing Hancock under the bus has helped with the spinning of the storyline.

There is some astonishing pearl clutching going on these last couple of days, easily summarised as “but what about masks and have you seen these graphs actually…?!”

For a particularly shrill response this twitter timeline is a masterpiece in performative outrage

I very much hope so. It will depend on how much pressure the Starmerite faction can exert by threatening to boycott Marks and Sparks, Waitrose etc, and whether this will force the mid to lower market chains to follow suit.

The powers that ought not to be will be watching and learning as always.

Another bait and switch in October has to be a strong possibility but if Javid and Sunak can find common ground and push back that could make for very interesting politics.

A key date could be covid act review date which, well would you believe it, is early October 2021.
