I haven’t read this book, but I know from personal experience that it was almost impossible to find a doctor in Tanzania in the early 80s who didn’t believe that AIDS was created in a US bioweapons facility somewhere in the Congo/Uganda border region.

That was so widely believed it wasn’t even controversial in those days…
