Potted…the guy speaking first is a former senior police constable, who recently stood down. . He says this is not about a jab or no jab…it’s nonsense, and his (former) colleagues “know it’s nonsense”. His colleagues are trapped by paycheck into following unjust orders. He calls over to the police. He’s worth listening to. He says this is a dictatorship that’s trying to be ushered into Victoria and then in to the rest of Australia, and the world is watching…do they want to go down in history as the private army of a madman? Or be known as the people’s protectors. Very uncomfortable for the riot-dressed squad he’s addressing! Wonder if he’ll inspire or shame any of them into action.

Remember that critical insight from Chris Hedges, drawn from the time when he was in Berlin at the time of the fall of the wall: “Honecker sent the paratroops to quell the massed demonstrators; the paras refused to fire on their fellow Germans; and Honecker was gone in a week!”

Well at last I can say I was there! Perhaps 10,000 rallied yesterday, and some very passionate and determined speeches, including from this policeman. Only just got to look at this post, and must to bed, but more to say as always. Yesterday’s rally was mainly about this permanent pandemic legislation, which HAS to be stopped, but is unlikely to be!
