Although this emerges from some sort of Scottish Tory think tank, it echoes at least some of my feelings of grief over what is currently being done to young people in the UK.
Grief (uncharacteristically for others more than myself) has been my dominant emotion ever since drastic measures started to be taken against COVID-19. (I’m not implying a view on whether the measures were necessary, helpful, or even vaguely competent.) The clusterfuck over A-levels and university residence has, incredibly, doubled my already unprecedented sense of collective grief. On top of that (secondarily, not primarily - as in the title of the article), I can’t help imagining the potential for a monumental revolutionary anger on the part of a generation that must seem to have nothing to lose. (That’s without even mentioning climate change.)

Sorry if this is all too much! Don’t blame me, blame Firefox “Pocket”? It’s got me reading not only articles from a Scottish Tory think tank, but from Esquire and Vogue - God help me.
