Some bigwigs have had to go…a ‘mistake’ was handled badly.
The BBC needs to ‘restore trust’
Who did the edit. Who oversees this work and what communications were there. Is this part of a wider picture of misleading viewers over favoured narratives - likeTrump the mad revolution leader (only one of these is true)
I am available to give an answer to the enquiry on trhe last question
Is there going to be an inquiry into the whole BBC policy issues surrounding this …reporting
fraud?
Haven’t really followed this if I’m honest. Trump is looking for more ballroom funding? IIRC, some fella has recently quit the beeb because they were not listening to his warnings?
To be fair, couple of fools falling on swords (upwards) to make things go away usually works here.
The 2 arseholes resigned without acknowledging their outfit did anything wrong . . .
How the effing eff is the chief arsehole still in the chair? Does he get to stay because he’s said they ‘made an error of judgement’?
Error of judgement??? Oh, shall we just report honestly or shall we doctor the news to suit a government propaganda requirement, making a mockery of all the virtue-screaming about everyone else’s fake news, misinformation, disinformation; and the exclusive righteous possession of trust among the poor saps soaking up the filthy lies we actually spew (and paying for the privilege), that we’ve been doing day in day out for years? Ooh, tricky, we wouldn’t want to make an error of judgement here would we?
Shah’s little gang of hypocrites (the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee) considered Prescott’s memo on 17 October - and did nothing. The whole crew should be down the road and personally liable to boot. this is how the Introduction to the crooks’ own document “THE BBC’S EDITORIAL STANDARDS – ESSENTIAL INFORMATION” begins:
"The BBC’s Editorial Guidelines embody the wisdom of more than 100 years of programme making, content production and journalism. They are designed to support creativity and to help content makers weigh up risks and make difficult editorial decisions. . . " (my emphasis) (They got that bit right.)
Gosh, Mariana Spring must be wetting herself. Trump is a twat and a marionette but he should take them to the cleaners without setting conditions (what a spectacle!). stick it on the licence fee (we don’t pay it anyway).
Hang on, its a horrid right-wing attack on our lovely bbc or, er, a controlled demolition, um, no, maybe a directed energy weapon . . .
Mind, poor old JC would still like to have a BBC he can believe in, standing up to the far right billionaires. Too late mate! The Left-Right scam is redundant.
