The government won on most of its charges, including convicting defendants for moving a box of radical zines.
Push people into a corner and you get protests of all sorts. Propagandise the public to hate immigrants and you create a jury pool of the same persuasion so that convincing them that protest is terrorism is an easy deal. Draft laws with excessive overreach and viscious penalties and the pressure just builds up. When people no longer have anything to lose in a country where carrying arms is legal this sort of thing is inevitable.
Of course propaganda becomes irrelevant if the public no longer takes any role in the judicial system (apart from that of victims) - Lammy’s latest step to pass legislation further limiting the use of juries follows that course.
I have often thought that there is a case to be made that there have never been terrorist events unless they are instigated by state agents or state created false flags. Most violence in the world comes from State terrorism where of course State created laws provide State exemptions and legal impunity for the spooks and politicians.
