Another safe, dead cheap, universally available early prophylactic/treatment for covid?

Salt!

https://blogs.mercola.com/sites/vitalvotes/archive/2021/09/23/could-a-simple-saline-solution-stop-covid-1420-and-maybe-all-viruses.aspx

And just like the rest of Mercola’s stuff, it seems to have dissappeared after the 48 hour deadline before it all turned into a pumpkin!

Missed the link too, that’s a shame. Many, maybe all, of the proprietary nasal decongestant sprays are basically salt water aren’t they, with maybe a bit of menthol to make it smell like medicine?.

I use menthol crystals in boiled water in a steam inhaler (a few quid from Boots) and this opens up the airways nicely a couple of hours before beddybyes. Only very small quantity needed.

Having been thoroughly reprogrammed thanks to the efforts of @RhisiartGwilym I switched to ascorbic acid from the formulated ‘haliborange’ type vit c. Probably about one sixth the price and not unpleasant to sip thru the day. I take a bottle to work, and add a few extra scoops when it feels appropriate. Do submit the consultancy invoice to the usual address :kissing_smiling_eyes:

I heard Prof Raoult a few weeks back talking about Hydrogen Peroxide as a nasal spray being found effective. Dear old Donald wasn’t so far from the truth when he suggested that "if there were some way… that bleach kills the virus… like… " followed by “drinking bleach!! what an idiot!” But it wasn’t, just as his comments about UV light were sensible. Why was it never recommended that to sterilise stuff that might be contaminated by the virus you just stick it out in the sun and air for a few hours, instead of putting into another plastic bag marked “Biohazard” and disposing of it in a special tip? Truly, any remnant common sense that existed in the population after years of lies about everything is now extinguished.

Don’t forget K, sodium ascorbate has a milder taste than the acid, and is supposedly easier on the stomach, a little. And the acid in fruit juice is very potable!

No fees accrue from these ‘consultations’. I think of them more as an old babbler constantly repeating his mechanical spiels, because he’s forgotten he’s already bent everyones’ ears about them multiple times already. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Just as well the information is accurate, and vital, innit?
