Alexander Mercouris on today's insurrection in Russia

Interesting discussion here… It’s hard now to remember exactly which video or article I followed that I took as a final analysis - but it answered the questions over the Russian pilots, including that only two had been shot down. As he didn’t punish Prigo, yet, for fear of making him a martyr, Putin chose to cover over this loss as anything else would play more into the West’s dirty hands. At the same time, Russia does have a history of this - remember the plane that supposedly crashed into the sea off Sochi carrying a National band of servicemen to Syria for Christmas? It had to have been shot down by some Ukie/Islamist missile with a SAM, but Russia couldn’t admit to such a failure of their defences. But by ignoring this option they deprived those who carried out the vile act of much support.

I’m also not quite sure about James Corbett, as I’m not quite sure about Adam Larson; sometimes they come out with things that seem compromising. For me now, that is almost anything that’s not ‘pro-Russian’! In other words, any failure to totally condemn Ukraine/London for blowing up the Kakhovka dam or other war crimes for which Russia had no responsibility is a failure to recognise just who is the cause of this whole life-threatening war. The stand taken by STW UK “supporting the Russian Anti-war movement” is the extreme example of this failure, and my current focus. (along with Greta Thunberg hamming it up with Zelensky; the last gasp)

All I can remember about the apartment bombings is the KGB being caught in the act of planting explosives in one of the blocks by Russian police. I’m not certain that even that is correct? What’s the connection with this latest malarky?

The rather excellent wikispooks has a page on this

The connection is parallels. Some maskorovska (spelling?) and rapid disappearance from the public.

I’m not saying that are the same style of MO, but there are some similarities. Not helped by the fact it’s difficult to think in Russian.
