Alastair Crooke: Trump has threatened Iran over an ultimatum that likely cannot be met

Coupled with the news of US nukes being sent to Lakenheath posted by Ger below, could this be the early signs of WW3 hoving into view?

Demands that can’t be met - along with the WWI historical precedent, a very sobering point.

Brings to mind this from a couple of weeks ago

Trump threatens bombing if Iran does not make nuclear deal

Not just the bombing threat, but sanctions.

I’ll need to watch the linked Colonel McGregor video (thanks @Rich ) to see whether he thinks the US can really pull this off - I suspect not.

Larry Johnson and Scott Ritter agree that it would be a disaster for the entire global economy. They also agree that the US will take massive hits on all their Middle East installations. The only disagreement between them is the likelihood of this actually happening.

My take is that Trump is going down the Biden road. Loosing (or lost?) the ability to think and remember what he said a day ago. A recent example is his comment that Gaza was “given” to the Palestinians by Israehell.

The whole asylum is being run by the inmates.

Why the Trump/Biden stuff? Same policies as ever, different tools from one selection to the next talking same/different shite. Doesn’t matter, those fuckers don’t make policy they’re front-of-house. Its (most of) the commentators, including and maybe especially the ‘alternative’ ones, who are playing the roles of asylum inmates by taking the arseholes seriously. On second thoughts its us what takes them seriously who need our heads examined. Our supposed political masters’ states of mind are utterly irrelevant as long as we pay them attention.

Looks to us like everything’s going to plan

OMG, look over here! now look over there! OMG we’re all going to die (well, yes, we are.) Same rich & powerful staying rich & powerful (but getting richer). Same mugs (us) getting poorer, losing the means of healthy living, maybe soon the means of living at all, watching violent death being normalised, getting closer, loving the fear porn, welcoming the slavery of digital control nets being drawn tighter round us while we play with our . . . devices.

Why would a ‘disaster for the global economy’ not be the intention anyway? I know who (well, the demographic anyway) won’t expect to be suffering . . . ‘We’ can always build back better can’t ‘we’? Maybe with a more ‘viable’ number of people after WWIII eh?

@AlanG I don’t disagree.

It IS the intention, at least in my opinion, and apparently yours? It allows clowns (or puppets if you prefer) like Trump, and Musk and their rich friends like Adelson and Bezos, to make many more millions in a couple of days. Anyone who is really aware knows that many western countries are so badly in debt that collapse of their economies would be a saviour and as war is good for business, what a great cover.

Very plausible. Two or three distinct phases - making money while setting the wrecking mechanisms in motion, then even more in the ‘reconstruction’; then sit back and exploit the aftermath - where there are fewer human rights, and probably fewer humans too.

This is good value for 30 minutes:
